Happy New Year
Thank You for a great 2024!
As we say Good Bye to the year gone by and welcome the New Year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our tremendously successful second year of our operation at our interim location in Petaluma, and to also offer my deepest gratitude for the growing support from our vibrant community.
The momentum that we saw this past year and the growth that we experienced both in terms of community participation and support, gives me a lot of hope and encourages me to look forward to the future with a new sense of excitement.
I will touch upon just a few of the highlights that we can all be proud of:
The Monthly Pujas and the community celebration of the major Hindu Festivals, led by our wonderful priest, Pandit Vishwanathan Gurukkal brought us together in devotion.
Community Activities like the invigorating and energizing Wellness Walk and offering of the Hindi Class were a big hit.
The Gita Study group and the Weekly Online Chanting sessions enriched with stories and lessons from our glorious Hindu culture, helping us deepen the understanding of our culture and faith.
Our growing base of dedicated Volunteers ensuring the smooth operation of all our activities and forming a solid backbone that we can rely on.
Seeing several new faces, each and every time as word gets around.
The tremendously successful Fundraising Drives that saw us raise over 80K in donations this past year. We are deeply grateful to all the donors and especially offer a big shout out to the two families (Tiwaris and Satyavolus), whose challenge grants motivated the community to come forward and help exceed our goals. We cannot thank you enough, for all of your generosity.
Going forward, we have a lot of plans to grow in the coming days and months ahead, so stay tuned.
Meanwhile, let us carry this spirit forward, hand in hand, as we build an even more inclusive and vibrant community and work together to realize the vision of having a Hindu Temple and Community Center in the North Bay.
